MYAA SPONSORS FESTIVALS TO PRESENT PERFORMANCES & PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT THROUGH WORKSHOPS FOR STUDENTS SELECTED BY MEMBER STATE WIDE ORGANIZATIONS IN MICHIGAN. THEY ACT AS A COORDINATING BODY TO FACILITATE COMMUNICATIONS AND COOPERATION AMONG THE VARIOUS STATE WIDE ORGANIZATIONS TO IDENTIFY THE MOST TALENTED.


MYAA ADMINISTERS PROGRAMS FOR THE MICHIGAN COUNCIL FOR ARTS & CULTURAL AFAIRS: 1) ARTS & CULTURE TREK GRANTS TO MICHIGAN K-12 PUBLIC SCHOOLS. PUBLIC SCHOOLS CAN APPLY FOR TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE FOR SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS TO LOCATIONS THAT ARE ART OR CULTURE RELATED. 2) ART EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES GRANTS TO MICHIGAN K-12 PUBLIC SCHOOLS. SCHOOLS CAN APPLY FOR GRANTS FOR ARTS EQUIPMENT (INCLUDING REPAIRS OF ARTS EQUIPMENT) OR SUPPLIES BEING USED WITHIN THE CLASSROOM/SCHOOL SETTING.


MYAA PROMOTES AN ANNUAL EVENT TO BRING NUMEROUS FINE & PERFORMING ARTS COLLEGES TO A VENUE WHERE MICHIGAN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS HAVE THE CHANCE TO LEARN AOBUT THE HIGHER EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE TO THEM WHEN THEY GRADUATE.
