ALTARUM INSTITUTE DEVELOPS AND IMPLEMENTS SOLUTIONS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF INDIVIDUALS WITH FEWER FINANCIAL RESOURCES AND THOSE DISENFRANCHISED BY THE SYSTEM. THREE OF ALTARUM'S 2021 MAJOR PROGRAMS INCLUDE:- MDHHS DATA HUB: PROVIDES INNOVATIVE PUBLIC HEALTH IT INFRASTRUCTURE AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES (MDHHS) THAT IMPROVES THE FLOW OF DATA FROM HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS INTO STATE PUBLIC HEALTH SYSTEMS AND BETWEEN STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PUBLIC HEALTH SYSTEMS. ALTARUM'S SERVICES INCREASE STATE CAPACITY TO PERFORM ACUTE, CHRONIC, INFECTIOUS AND SYNDROMIC DISEASE SURVEILLANCE, ENABLING THE STATE TO TRACK CHANGES IN POPULATION HEALTH AND DETECT AND RESPOND QUICKLY TO OUTBREAKS OF ILLNESS, POTENTIAL PUBLIC HEALTH THREATS, AND EMERGENCIES LIKE COVID-19.- QUALITY PAYMENT PROGRAM SMALL RURAL AND UNDERSERVED SUPPORT CONTRACTOR (QPP-SURS): ALTARUM PROVIDES DIRECT TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO HELP MEDICAL PROVIDERS IN MORE THAN 16,000 SMALL, RURAL, OR HISTORICALLY UNDERSERVED PRACTICES ACROSS A SEVEN-STATE MIDWESTERN REGION TRANSFORM THEIR PRACTICES AND ACHIEVE HIGH QUALITY OUTCOMES. WORKIN GON BEHALF OF THE CENTER FOR MEDICARE AND MEDICAID SERVICES (CMS), WE HELP PROVIDERS IDENTIFY THE APPROPRIATE QUALITY MEASURES, RECORD THE MEASURES, REPORT THE MEASURES, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, IMPROVE THEIR OUTCOMES. - HEALTH CARE SURVEYS OF DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE BENEFICIARIES (HCSDB): ALTARUM OVERSEES THE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF DATA FOR HCSDB AND THE TRICARE SELECT SURVEYS OF PROVIDERS AND BENEFICIARIES.
