IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FAMILIES, COMMUNITIES, ORGANIZATIONS, STATES AND THE NATION, SPAULDING FOR CHILDREN'S MISSION IS TO ASSURE THAT ALL CHILDREN GROW UP IN SAFE, PERMANENT FAMILIES AND HAVE THE HELP THEY NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (CFS) SPAULDING FOR CHILDREN PROVIDED SERVICES TO APPROXIMATELY 210 FAMILIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. 11 CHILDREN/YOUTH WERE REUNITED WITH PARENTS AND ON AVERAGE IT TOOK 10 MONTH TO RETURN HOME. ABOUT 153 FAMILIES ALSO RECEIVED SERVICES. WE COMPLETED 8% MORE ADOPTIONS THAN THE PREVIOUS YEAR AND THE WWK PROGRAM EXCEEDED THEIR GOAL FOR ADOPTIONS BY 60%.


SPAULDING INSTITUTE AND ACADEMY THE ACADEMY AND THE INSTITUTE HAD A TOTAL OF 4 FEDERAL GRANTS OVER THE PAST YEAR. ONE GRANT RECEIVED AN APPROVED EXTENSION TO CONTINUE SERVICES, TWO GRANTS WERE IN YEAR 2 OF A 5 YEAR PROJECT AND ONE GRANT WAS AWARDED BUT BEFORE THE END OF THE FISCAL YEAR. ONE ADDITIONAL PROJECT IS A SUBAWARD OF ANOTHER FEDERAL GRANT AWARDED TO A DIFFERENT AGENCY.


SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CHILDREN FORMERLY SERVED BY THE ORGANIZATION. WE PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS TO SUPPORT YOUTH INTERESTED IN HIGHER EDUCATION. THIS YEAR WE SENT APPLICATIONS TO ELIGIBLE PEOPLE BUT DID NOT RECEIVE ANY COMPLETED APPLICATIONS. NO AWARDS WERE PROVIDED.
