THE ORGANIZATION PURCHASED A COMMERCIAL BUILDING WITH INTENTIONS OF OPERATING A FOOD MARKET TO ADDRESS THE FOOD DESERT ISSUES IN POMONA, CALIFORNIA. THE ORGANIZATION WILL PARTNER WITH LOCAL FARMERS TO PROVIDE NUTRITIONAL FOOD AND ORGANIC FRUITS AND VEGETABLES TO THE COMMUNITY. ADDITIONALLY, A GELATO, COFFEE, AND SANDWICH SHOP WILL OPERATE WHILE BEING A BUSINESS INCUBATOR FOR MINORITY AND WOMEN RESIDENTS TO LAUNCH BUSINESSES. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PLANS TO PROVIDE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AND TUTORING FOR THE COMMUNITY.
