THE MISSION OF MPA IS TO MANAGE CHARITABLE ASSETS AND MAKE GRANTS TO FACILITATE AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN THE COMMUNITIES OF MANTUA AND POWELTON VILLAGE IN THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, AND TO PROMOTE RELATED CHARITABLE SERVICES INCLUDING EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY CAPACITY BUILDING.

MANTUA AND POWELTON ALLIANCE IS A COLLABORATION OF FIVE EXISTING PENNSYLVANIA CHARITABLE ENTITIES WORKING IN THE MANTUA AND POWELTON VILLAGE NEIGHBORHOODS OF PHILADELPHIA. MPA MAY DETERMINE TO SOLICIT CONTRIBUTIONS FOR ITS CHARITABLE PURPOSES, WHICH WOULD FOCUS ON REDUCING THE NEGATIVE IMPACT OF DEVELOPMENT BY FACILITATING AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN THESE COMMUNITIES, AND PROMOTING RELATED CHARITABLE SERVICES SUCH AS EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY CAPACITY BUILDING. MPA IS ENGAGED IN STRATEGIC PLANNING TO STRUCTURE ITS GRANTMAKING PROGRAMS IN COLLABORATION WITH A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY PARTNERS.
