CHRIST'S HOPE AND RECONCILIATION MINISTRY (C.H.A.R.M.) EXISTS TO MINISTER TO INCARCERATED MEN AND WOMEN, CORRECTIONAL PERSONNEL, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE FAMILIES. C.H.A.R.M.'S GOAL IS TO SHARE THE HOPE FOUND ONLY IN JESUS CHRIST AND TO SEE SOULS RECONCILED TO GOD, RESULTING IN TRANSFORMED LIVES AND RELATIONSHIPS WITH FAMILIES, THE LOCAL CHURCH, AND COMMUNITIES.

PRISON MINISTRY:BEFORE THE PRISONS WERE CLOSED, DUE TO THE SPREAD OF COVID-19, CHRIST'S HOPE AND RECONCILIATION MINISTRY (C.H.A.R.M.) FACILITATED APPROXIMATELY 4 LARGE PRISON EVENTS, PLUS APPROXIMATELY 10 SMALLER WEEKLY EVENTS, INCLUDING CELEBRATE RECOVERY AND BIBLE STUDIES. OVER 100 VOLUNTEERS (APPROXIMATELY 30 UNIQUE) PARTICIPATED IN EVANGELICAL SPORTS EVENTS, CONCERTS, TALENT SHOW, CARE PACKAGE DELIVERY, AND WORSHIP SERVICES HELD IN HOUSTON-AREA PRISONS. THOSE EVENTS WERE ATTENDED BY AN AVERAGE OF 150-200 INMATES. C.H.A.R.M.'S SMALLER, WEEKLY EVENTS AVERAGED BETWEEN 5 AND 50 ATTENDEES.
TRANSITIONAL HOUSES: CHRIST'S HOPE AND RECONCILIATION MINISTRY (C.H.A.R.M.) OPERATED 8 TRANSITIONAL HOMES FOR RECENTLY RELEASED INMATES AND HOUSED APPROXIMATELY 90 MEN IN THE TWELVE MONTHS ENDED JUNE 30, 2021. IN ADDITION TO HOUSING, THE ORGANIZATION HELPED WITH FOOD, CLOTHING, AND TRANSPORTATION AND PROVIDED JOB SEARCH ASSISTANCE. THE ORGANIZATION'S AFTERCARE PROGRAM INCLUDES IN-HOME BIBLE STUDIES, CHURCH ATTENDANCE, COMMUNITY SERVICE, AND ACCOUNTABILITY GROUPS. C.H.A.R.M. PROVIDES A SAFE, DRUG- AND ALCOHOL-FREE ENVIRONMENT WHERE ITS RESIDENTS CAN BEGIN THEIR SUCCESSFUL TRANSITION BACK INTO SOCIETY AS PRODUCTIVE, GODLY INDIVIDUALS.
