TO CREATE, STIMULATE, & MAINTAIN AN ENTHUSIASTIC INTEREST IN THE VARIOUS ACTIVITIES OF THE BAND DEPARTMENT OF WASHINGTON COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL. TO SUPPORT, BOTH MORALLY & FINANCIALLY, THE GENERAL BAND PROGRAMS IN THE SCHOOL. TO COOPERATE WITH THOSE IN CHARGE OF THE BAND DEPARTMENT & THE SCHOOL BOARD SO THAT THE BAND DEPARTMENT MAY BE BROUGHT TO & KEPT AT THE HIGHEST DEGREE OF EFFICIENCY. TO BUILD & MAINTAIN AN ORGANIZATION WHICH WILL HELP PROMOTE THE GENERAL ACTIVITIES OF THE BAND DEPARTMENT.

THE BAND BOOSTERS REGULARLY HOSTS A BAND INVITATIONAL IN SEPTEMBER, IN WHICH BANDS FROM ACROSS THE STATE COME TO COMPETE IN DIFFERENT CLASSES, AND HAVE THEIR PERFORMANCE CRITIQUED BY JUDGES.
THE WASHINGTON COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL BAND DEPARTMENT HOSTED A SUMMER BAND CAMP AT THEIR FACILITY. THIS BAND CAMP PROVIDED INSTRUCTION ON LEARNING THE MARCHING DRILL AND MUSIC FOR THE MARCHING BAND SEASON. THE BAND BOOSTERS PROVIDED FUNDS FOR THE DRILL, MUSIC, SHIRTS, STAFF AND SUPPLIES.
ENABLE THE BAND TO PERFORM IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, THE BAND BOOSTERS RECEIVED INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS TO GO TOWARD TRIPS TO CALIFORNIA & TENNESSEE. THE CALIFORNIA TRIP WAS CANCELLED AND REFUNDED.
A DISCRETIONARY SUPPLY FUND WAS PROVIDED TO THE BAND DIRECTOR TO SUPPLEMENT HIS SCHOOL BAND BUDGET. THE AMOUNT SPENT IN THIS FISCAL YEAR WAS 3138.77. PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS WERE PROVIDED TO STUDENTS REQUESTING THEM. COST OF LESSONS WAS 6,168.00.
