COMMUNITY DAY SERVICES IS REGULATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES' DEVELOPMENTAL DIVISION PROVIDING SERVICES TO ADULTS WITH A DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY FOCUSING ON THE ACQUISITION OF SKILLS, APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR, GREATER INDEPENDENCE, AND PERSONAL CHOICE. EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES HELPS CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF BIRTH TO THREE WITH DISABILITIES OR DELAYS REACH DEVELOPMENTAL MILESTONES. EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES REGULATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES FOCUS ON SKILLS IN THESE AREAS: PHYSICAL SKILLS, COGNITIVE SKILLS, COMMUNICATION SKILLS, SELF-HELP OR ADAPTIVE SKILLS, AND SOCIAL SKILLS.
RECOVERY - OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH THERAPY SERVES INDIVIDUALS ACROSS THE LIFESPAN THAT ARE EXPERIENCING A MENTAL HEALTH ISSUE THAT WOULD BENEFIT FROM EVIDENCE BASED, THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTIONS. CRISIS SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE 24/7/365 FOR INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCING A MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS THAT WOULD BENEFIT FROM SOMEONE TO TALK TO, REFERRALS FO RESOURCES, AND/OR AN EVALUATION TO DETERMINE IF, SOMEONE IS AT IMMINENT RISK, INPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT WOULD BE THE MOST EFFECTIVE COURSE OF TREATMENT.
THE DV/TSS/VOCA/PAIP/ESG PROGRAMS PROMOTE THE ELIMINATION OF HOMELESSNESS AND VIOLENCE AGAINST ADULTS AND THEIR CHILDREN WHO ARE OR HAVE EXPERIENCED PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, OR SEXUAL VIOLENCE OR THREATS OF VIOLENCE AND/OR HOMELESSNESS BY PROVIDING COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES IN A PROTECTIVE SETTING WITH 24-HOUR ONSITE STAFF SUPPORT THAT PROVIDE LIFE SKILLS EDUCATION, CRISIS SUPPORT, COUNSELING, LINKAGE AND ADVOCACY, AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND EDUCATION.
