THE ORGANIZATION HOLDS AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE WHERE STAKEHOLDERS OF THE RAILROAD CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE INDUSTRY ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. THE CONFERENCE TYPICALLY ENCOMPASSES APPROXIMATELY 1,200 ATTENDEES, 150 EXHIBITORS, AND 25,000 SQUARE FEET OF MEETING SPACE WITH A UNIQUE PROGRAM AGENDA THAT INCLUDES CHIEF ENGINEERS FROM THE MAJOR FREIGHT RAILROADS AND OTHER KEY SPEAKERS COVERING UP-TO-DATE TOPICS OF IMPORTANCE TO THE RAIL INDUSTRY.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES AND OTHER PROGRAMS
THE ORGANIZATION COORDINATED GRASSROOTS EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, ALLOWING NRC MEMBERS TO SHOWCASE THEIR FACILITIES TO CONGRESSIONAL AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, DEVELOP POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH POLICYMAKERS, AND SHOW THE POSITIVE IMPACT OF RAILROAD CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE ACTIVITY IN THE COMMUNITY. RAILROAD DAY ON THE HILL ALLOWS STAKEHOLDERS IN THE RAILROAD INDUSTRY TO MEET WITH THEIR CONGRESSIONAL MEMBERS AND PROMOTE THE INTERESTS OF THE RAIL INDUSTRY.
THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS TO QUALIFIED CHILDEREN OR GRANDCHILDREN OF EMPLOYEES OF NRC MEMBER COMPANIES. IN ADDITION, NRC HAS A PROGRAM THAT AWARDS AN EDUCATION GRANT TO AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION IN THE UNITED STATES WITH A RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION, RAILWAY ENGINEERING OR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM.
