THE ORGANIZATION IS GOVERNED BY A VOLUNTEER BOARD OF DIRECTORS WHOSE MISSION IS TO PROMOTE A MORE PROFITABLE AND MORE PRODUCTIVE AND MORE PERMANENT SYSTEM OF AGRICULTURE IN COLES COUNTY, TO ENCOURAGE THE DISSEMINATION OF AGRICULTURAL INFORMATION, AND TO DEVELOP AND PROMOTE THE SPIRIT OF COOPERATION AMONG AGRICULTURAL INTERESTS AND TO ENCOURAGE THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF COMMUNITY, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC FRATERNITY AMONG AGRICULTURALLY INTERESTED PARTIES.

COLES COUNTY FARM BUREAU PROVIDES THE ADMINISTRATION AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE ORGANIZATION'S APPROXIMATELY 1,800 MEMBERS. THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE AGRICULTURE AND PROVIDES SPECIFIC AGRICULTURAL SUPPORT SERVICES. ADDITIONALLY, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES MONTHLY PUBLICATIONS WITH AGRICULTURAL RELATED INFORMATION TO ITS GENERAL MEMBERSHIP.
