THROUGH MAKING GRANTS, LEVERAGING PARTNERSHIPS, AND TAKING ADVANTAGE OF OTHER RESOURCES, THE ORGANIZATION ASSISTS AND ENABLES THE COMMUNITY TO MAXIMIZE SHARED INVESTMENTS AND REALIZE THEIR SUBSEQUENT ENHANCEMENTS AND BENEFITS.

THROUGH THE CRESTMOOR NEIGHBORHOOD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, THE FOUNDATION HONORS THE COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO MOST DIRECTLY ENDURED THE DESTRUCTION OF THE SEPTEMBER 9, 2010, GAS PIPELINE EXPLOSION AND INVESTS IN SAN BRUNO'S NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS. IN 2023, THE FOUNDATION AWARDED COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO TEN SAN BRUNO STUDENTS WHO HAVE DEMONSTRATED A STRONG COMMITMENT TO THE SAN BRUNO COMMUNITY.
AS PART OF ITS STRATEGIC GRANTMAKING EFFORTS, THE FOUNDATION IDENTIFIES AND PROACTIVELY ADDRESSES SPECIFIC COMMUNITY NEEDS THROUGH INVESTMENTS IN PROGRAMS, PROJECTS, AND COMMUNITY FACILITIES. IN 2022-2023, THE FOUNDATION AWARDED THREE STRATEGIC GRANTS TO THE CITY OF SAN BRUNO RELATED TO THE SAN BRUNO RECREATION AND AQUATIC CENTER PROJECT (FOR CONSTRUCTION), COMMUNITY DAY, CENTENNIAL PLAZA IMPROVEMENTS, AND ONE GRANT TO SAN BRUNO PARK SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS & ASSEMBLIES.
