SUPPORT THE FAIRFAX COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM IN INSPIRING, ENABLING AND EMPOWERING STUDENTS AND TEACHERS TO MEET HIGH ACADEMIC STANDARDS.TEACHER GRANTS: GRANTS TO TEACHERS TO SUPPLEMENT/ENHANCE THE STANDARD CURRICULUM. FIFTY-SEVEN PROPOSALS WERE APPROVED AND WILL IMPACT MORE THAN 16,000 STUDENTS ACCROSS FCPS.KIDS IN NEED FUND: ASSIST TEACHERS AND SOCIAL WORKERS BY PROVIDING SUPPLY KITS, BACKPACKS, PERSONAL HYGIENE ITEMS AND COMPUTERS AND LAPTOPS TO STUDENTS WHO NEED THEM.LITERACY AND READING: PROVIDE AGE-LEVEL APPROPRIATE READING MATERIALS TO STUDENTS WHO MIGHT OTHERWISE NOT HAVE ACCESS TO BOOKS OVER THE SUMMER MONTHS.
