2021 WAS THE IDAHO TRAILS ASSOCIATION'S (ITA) BIGGEST YEAR YET FOR TRAILS. WITH THE HELP 537 VOLUNTEERS, ITA ORGANIZED 50 PROJECTS IN DIVERSE GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION, FROM INCREDIBLY REMOTE PLACES, TO TRAILS JUST OUTSIDE BOISE AND SANDPOINT, RANGING FROM ONE-DAY PROJECTS TO WEEKLONG TRIPS. THE PROJECTS COMPLETED WERE ALL BASED ON PUBLIC LANDS THROUGHOUT THE STATE. AFTER HIKES TO THE PROJECT SITES, ITA CREWS WORKED A TOTAL OF 8,912 HOURS, CLEARED 244 MILES OF TRAIL, REMOVED 3,102 LOGS, CLEANED 683 WATER BARS, FIXED 32,760 FEET OF TREAD, AND BRUSHED 75,170 FEET OF TRAIL. THE ITA HOSTED 6 WOMEN'S ONLY WEEKENDS (WOW) AND STARTED A NEW YOUTH ONLY PROGRAM IN 2021.
