THE FOUNDATION FOR SARCOIDOSIS RESEARCH (FSR) IS THE LEADING INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO FINDING A CURE FOR SARCOIDOSIS AND IMPROVING CARE FOR SARCOIDOSIS PATIENTS THROUGH RESEARCH, EDUCATION, AND SUPPORT. SINCE ITS ESTABLISHMENT IN 2000, FSR HAS FOSTERED OVER $6 MILLION IN SARCOIDOSIS-SPECIFIC RESEARCH EFFORTS.

RESEARCH - FSR'S SMALL GRANT PROGRAM FOCUSES ON AWARDING FUNDS TO NEW OR EARLY STAGE RESEARCH ON SARCOIDOSIS. FSR'S CLINICAL STUDIES NETWORK(CSN) AND SARCONNECT PROGRAMS CONTINUED TO ENGAGE AND PARTNER WITH PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES THROUGH PATIENT OUTREACH AND RECRUITMENT FOR LARGE MULTI- CENTER TRIALS. BOTH PROGRAMS HELP CARRY OUT MULTIPLE STUDIES WITH FOCUS IN CARDIAC AND PULMONARY SARCOIDOSIS. FSR CONTINUED GROWING THE PATIENT REGISTRY AND MADE SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS ON THE SCOUTENDPOINTS PROJECT, IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING SERVICES AND SUPPORT TO ADVANCE SARCOIDOSIS RESEARCH AND THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION.


THE ORGANIZATION APPROACHES THEIR MISSION OF FINDING A CURE FOR SARCOIDOSIS AND IMPROVING CARE FOR SARCOIDOSIS PATIENTS THROUGH FOLLOWING MAJOR PROGRAM AREAS: PATIENT OUTREACH AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS, PHYSICIAN OUTREACH PROGRAM AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AGENDA. IN THESE PROGRAMS, VARIOUS RESOURCES AND EDUCATION ARE PROVIDING TO THE PATIENT AND THEIR LOVED ONES, NAVIGATION AND NETWORK ARE BUILT UP TO CONNECT PATIENTS, PHYSICIANS AND PEERS OF BOTH COMMUNITIES.
