ANNNUAL CONFERENCE - 28TH ANNUAL MFA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE. OVER 270 REGISTERED AND 250 MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE. APPROXIMATELY 35 EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS OFFERED IN FIVE TRACKS, PLUS A PHYSICIAN TRACK.
FACILITY CERTIFICATION - PROVIDED EXAMINATIONS AND VAIDATION OF CERTIFIED FACILITIES IN 18 FACILITIES. THIS CERTIFICATION PROCESS SERVES AS A "GOOD HOUSEKEEPING SEAL OF APPROVAL" FOR MEDICALLY INTEGRATED FITNESS FACILITIES TO HELP ENGENDER TRUST AND THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN REFERRALS FROM THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY FOR PATIENTS NEEDING EXERCISE PRESCRIPTIONS OR TREATMENT OF THEIR CHRONIC DISEASES THROUGH EXERCISE. ALSO BEGAN WORK ON NEW PROFESSIONAL FITNESS FACILITY AND MEDICAL FITNESS FACILITY DIRECTOR CREDENTIAL.
REGIONAL MEETINGS & MEDICAL FITNESS INSTITUTE - APPROXIMATELY 300 MEMBERS SERVED IN FOUR REGIONAL EVENTS, PLUS MEDICAL FITNESS INSTITUTE REGIONAL CONFERENCES AND WORKSHOPS FOR EXERCISE IS MEDICINE. APPROXIMATELY 10 EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS WERE OFFERED AT EACH. REGIONAL CONFERENCES OFFER ONE OF THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAYS TO STAY UP-TO-DATE WITH THE LATEST APPROACHES TO MEDICAL FITNESS OPERATIONS AND PROGRAMMING. THEY ALLOW EVERYONE TO LEARN FROM EACH OTHER AND NETWORK WITH PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS DEDICATED TO MEDICAL FITNESS.
