THE FOUNDATION RECEIVES CONTRIBUTIONS AND DISTRIBUTES GRANTS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS. IN ADDITION TO THE VARIOUS GRANT PROGRAMS, THE FOUNDATION ALSO IMPROVES THE QUALIFY OF LIFE IN DEKALB COUNTY THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN VARIOUS COMMUNITY INITIATIVES. MOST NOTABLE IS THE COMMUNITY WORKS INITIATIVE, WHICH WORKS WITH ADVISORY GROUPS TO ADDRESS ISSUES IN EDUCATION, LAND USE, AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT IN DEKALB COUNTY.
