THE EMPLOYEE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FUND (THE FUND) PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ASSOCIATES DURING TIMES OF CRISIS OR NEED. FULL-TIME, PART TIME AND TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES OF MUTUAL OF OMAHA - WHO ARE EXPERIENCING HARDSHIP, CAN APPLY FOR ASSISTANCE FROM THE FUND. EMPLOYEES ARE LIMITED TO RECEIVING GENERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ONCE EVERY TWO CALENDAR YEARS. ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED TO EMPLOYEES FACING CHALLENGES FOR ITEMS SUCH AS TRANSPORTATION, UTILITIES, HOUSING, CHILDCARE AND EMERGENCY HOME REPAIR. THE FUND IS PRIMARILY FUNDED BY CONTRIBUTIONS FROM MUTUAL OF OMAHA EMPLOYEES, THE CORPORATION, AND MATCHING GIFTS BY THE MUTUAL OF OMAHA FOUNDATION. IN 2022, THE ORGANIZATION HELPED 253 EMPLOYEES AND THEIR FAMILIES.
