TUTORING CHICAGO DELIVERS THE POWER OF EDUCATION THROUGH ONE-TO-ONE TUTORING. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FREE TUTORING ON A WEEKLY BASIS THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR BY MATCHING OVER 1000 TRAINED ADULT VOLUNTEER TUTORS WITH OVER 1200 CHICAGO-AREA CHILDREN FACING FINANCIAL BARRIERS IN GRADES ONE THROUGH TEN. THE PROGRAMS AT TUTORING CHICAGO FOCUS ON HELPING STUDENTS IMPROVE LITERACY SKILLS AND READING DEVELOPMENT, PRACTICE GRADE-LEVEL MATHEMATICS CONCEPTS, DEVELOP SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING SKILLS, AND BUILD UPON ATTRIBUTES THAT CONTRIBUTE TO OVERALL FUTURE SUCCESS. AS OF FALL 2023, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES IN-PERSON TUTORING AT THREE LOCATIONS IN THE NEAR NORTH, NEAR WEST, AND SOUTH SIDE COMMUNITIES AS WELL AS DIGITAL TUTORING FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO PREFER TUTORING IN A REMOTE SETTING. A COMBINATION OF RESEARCH-BASED CURRICULAR MATERIALS AND ASSESSMENTS HELP TUTORS TAILOR THE TUTORING EXPERIENCE FOR THEIR STUDENT'S INDIVIDUAL NEEDS.
