HILLCREST PTA IS DEDICATED TO SUPPORTING THE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE OF APPROXIMATELY 400 CHILDREN. THE PTA EXPENDS FUNDS TO ENHANCE AND ENRICH THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO TEACHERS AND STAFF FOR MATERIALS, ASSEMBLIES, FIELD TRIPS AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS. WE SPONSOR PROJECTS AND EVENTS FOR STUDENTS. WE STRIVE FOR A CLOSER WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH TEACHERS, PARENTS AND ADMINISTRATORS. WE ENCOURAGE A POSITIVE SUPPORTIVE ATMOSPHERE TO ENHANCE STUDENTS' EDUCATION. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE BACK-TO-SCHOOL FESTIVAL TO WELCOME NEW AND RETURNING STUDENTS, A BOOK FAIR DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THE SCHOOL'S LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER, PARTNERS IN ART CLASSROOM ART EXPERIENCES, SEVERAL SCHOOL AND CLASSROOM ASSEMBLIES COVERING A RANGE OF TOPICS. OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDE FIELD DAY, HOLIDAY BAZAAR, SUPPORT OF THE SCHOOL'S SAFETY PATROL PROGRAM AND TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK.
