SMALL ACCESSIBLE REPAIRS FOR SENIORS: UNO PARTICIPATES IN THE SMALL ACCISSIBLE REPAIRS FOR SENIORS PROGRAM (SARFS). THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES SAFETY, SECURITY AND ACCESSIBILITY FOR LOW INCOME SENIORS. HOME IMPROVEMENTS ARE AT NO COST AND ENABLES SENIOR CITIZENS TO REMAIN IN THEIR HOMES.GIRLS MPOWERED PROGRAM - TO EDUCATE AND EMPOWER YOUNG GIRLS WITH THE TOOLS AND CONVERSATIONS NEEDED TO OVERCOME PEER PRESSURE FOR A SUCCESSFUL FUTURE. TO REDUCE THE INFLUENCE OF GANGS WITHIN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA YOUTH.LEADERSHIP TRAINING: UNO HAS ALWAYS CREATED NEW AVENUES OF PUBLIC LEADERSHIP; ENGAGING LATINOS TOWARD CIVIC ACTION. THE METROPOLITAN LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (MLO) AND CORPORATE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (CLI) CREATED AND MANAGED BY UNO PROVIDES INDIVIDUALS WITH A GREATER APPRECIATION FOR AMBIGUITIES AND NUANCES OF THE PUBLIC ARENA AND THE CHALLENGES OF PUBLIC LIFE. OUR JOB IS TO HELP NEW LEADERS GENERATE RESULTS RATHER THAN FRUSTRATION; TO KEEP THEM FROM BECOMING DISILLUSIONED BY THE PUBLIC DECISION MAKING PROCESS.
