THE CHICAGO AREA RUNNERS ASSOCIATION (CARA) IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO SERVING AND ADVOCATING FOR THE LOCAL RUNNING COMMUNITY. WE ARE CHICAGOLANDS RUNNING CLUB PROVIDING ACCESSIBLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL RUNNERS TO TRAIN, RACE, LEARN, BE SOCIAL AND VOLUNTEER, PROVIDING SPONSORSHIP OF LOCAL RUNNING EVENTS, HEALTH EDUCATION CLINICS, AWARDS PRESENTATIONS AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL AND SUPPORT SERVICES.

TRAIN AREA RUNNERS TO RUN AND COMPLETE HALF AND FULL MARATHONS. TRAIN AREA RUNNERS TO COMPLETE THEIR FIRST RUNNING EVENT - 5K, 10K, 10 MILER, HALF MARATHON OR MARATHON. TRAINING AT-RISK YOUTH GOAL SETTING AND BUILDING SELF-ESTEEM AS THEY TRAIN FOR A HALF MARATHON. ORGANIZE GO-RUNS WHICH ARE FREE AND ACCESSIBLE TO ALL.
