DEMOLAY OPENS DOORS FOR YOUNG MEN AGED 12 TO 21 BY DEVELOPING LEADERSHIP SKILLS SO VITALLY NEEDED IN SOCIETY TODAY. DEMOLAY BASES ITS VISION, MISSION, AND PURPOSE ON 7 CARDINAL VIRTUES; FILIAL LOVE, REVERENCE FOR SACRED THINGS, COURTESY, COMRADESHIP, FIDELITY, CLEANNESS, AND PATRIOTISM. DEMOLAY COMBINES THIS SERIOUS MISSION WITH A FUN APPROACH THAT BUILDS IMPORTANT BONDS OF FRIENDSHIP AMONG MEMBERS IN CHAPTERS WORLDWIDE. IN DEMOLAY, YOUNG MEN LEARN PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, BUDGETING, LEADERSHIP, ATHLETICS, PUBLIC SPEAKING, AND SOCIAL SKILLS. DEMOLAY MEMBERS ALSO HAVE FUN IN A SAFE SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT.

THE EXPRESS PURPOSE OF THE ILLINOIS DEMOLAY FOUNDATION IS TO RAISE FUNDS TO PROVIDE LONG-TERM SUPPORT AND STABILITY OF THE ILLINOIS DEMOLAY STATE AFFILIATE OF DEMOLAY INTERNATIONAL TO FULFILL ITS PROGRAM OBJECTIVES, CONTRIBUTING TO THE SUCCESSFUL DEVELOPMENT OF THE YOUNG MEN WHO PARTICIPATE IN ITS PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES.
