THE NWBA PROVIDES PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY, LEARN, AND COMPETE IN THE SPORT OF WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL. THE NWBA IS ALSO THE NATIONAL GOVERNING BODY FOR THE HIGH PERFORMANCE (PARALYMPIC) MEN'S AND WOMEN'S WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL PROGRAMS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE UNITED STATES OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC COMMITTEE.
