GRANT-BLACKFORD MENTAL HEALTH, INC. IS A COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER ORGANIZED IN SEPTEMBER 1968 AND GRANTED STATUS AS A COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER IN MARCH 1975 BY THE INDIANA DIVISION OF MENTAL HEALTH. THE CENTER'S PRIMARY OBJECTIVE IS THE BETTERMENT OF THE MENTAL HEALTH WITHIN ITS CATCHMENT AREA, WHICH IS COMPRISED OF GRANT AND BLACKFORD COUNTIES. THE CENTER PROVIDES MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES IN INPATIENT, RESIDENTIAL, AND OUTPATIENT DEPARTMENTS. THE CENTER PROVIDES CARE TO CERTAIN CLIENTS UNDER REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT WITH MEDICARE, MEDICAID, AND OTHER THIRD PARTY PROGRAMS. ADDITIONALLY, THE CENTER PROVIDES CARE TO CLIENTS WHO MEET CERTAIN CRITERIA UNDER THE CHARITY CARE AND SLIDING FEE DISCOUNT POLICIES. THESE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AT REDUCED RATES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CENTER'S ESTABLISHED POLICIES.
