THIS PROGRAM OFFERS STUDENTS FROM MINORITY AND UNDERREPRESENTED COMMUNITIES AN OPPORTUNITY TO INTERACT WITH SCIENTISTS AND MENTORS IN STEM FIELDS. THIS YEAR, THE PROGRAM WAS HELD VIRTUALLY. MANY OF THE STUDENTS WERE GIVEN VIRTUAL TOURS OF LABS AND FACILITIES AND HAD NUMEROUS VIRTUAL MENTORING AND PANEL DISCUSSION SESSIONS. THE STUDENTS GREATLY BENEFITED FROM THESE INTERACTIONS AS THEY BECAME MORE WELL-VERSED WITH THE OPPORTUNITIES IN STEM FIELDS AS WELL AS CAREER PATHS AVAILABLE.
