PRESCHOOL THROUGH NINTH GRADE PRIMARY SCHOOL WAS BUILT IN THE GAMBIA WEST AFRICA AND OPENED IN SEPTEMBER 2005. IT NOW ENROLLS 350+ STUDENTS. THERE ARE 29 GAMBIAN EMPLOYEES AND TEACHERS. SB IS REGISTERED IN THE STATE OF WASHINGTON AS A NONPROFIT CHARITABLE CORPORATION,GRANTED IRC 501(C)(3) CHARITY STATUS BY THE IRS, AND REGISTERED WITH THE GAMBIAN DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AS A PRESCHOOL, KINDERGARTEN AND FIRST THROUGH NINETH PROVIDER.
ANNUALLY THE FEED INF PROGRAM PROVIDES (350 STUDENTS + 29 STAFF TIMES 200 DAYS PLUS 50 STUDENTS, FEEDING 76,050 MEALS. IT MAY HAVE BEEN LESS IN 2020 BECAUSE OF THE COVID-19 LOCK-DOWN.
