THE MISSION OF THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN HEALTHCARE ALLIANCE OF FORT WAYNE, INC. IS TO PROMOTE, SUPPORT AND ENHANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY REGARDING HEALTH CARE ISSUES AS WELL AS ASSISTING IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUALS PURSUING CAREERS IN HEALTH CARE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

STUDENT EDUCATIONAL GRANTS GRANTS ARE ISSUED ANNUALLY TO STUDENTS IN THE HEALTHCARE FIELD. THESE GRANTS ARE FUNDED BY OUR ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP BALL WHICH IS THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY FUNDRAISER. THERE WERE 10 SCHOLARSHIPS DISTRIBUTED AND THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 350 ATTENDEES AT THE EVENT IN 2023. FREE PHYSICALS THE ANNUAL METRO FOOTBALL LEAGUE PHYSICALS PROGRAM PROVIDES FREE PHYSICALS TO THE METRO FOOTBALL LEAGUE PLAYERS WHO RANGE IN AGE FROM GRADES 6TH TO 8TH. ELEVEN DOCTORS AND NURSES VOLUNTEERED THEIR TIME AND SERVICES TO CONDUCT APPROXIMATELY 600 PHYSICAL EXAMS IN 2023.
