THE MISSION OF THE PARKVIEW FOUNDATIONS IS TO INSPIRE THE GENEROUS SPIRIT OF OUR COMMUNITY THAT BRINGS GIFTS OF HEALING AND COMFORT TO EVERYONE PARKVIEW SERVES. THE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL OF NOBLE COUNTY FOUNDATION, INC., D.B.A. PARKVIEW NOBLE FOUNDATION, ADHERES TO THIS MISSION. THE FOUNDATION RAISES FUNDS TO SUPPORT NEW PROGRAMS AND SERVICES, EDUCATIONAL NEEDS, AND INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY FOR THE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL OF NOBLE COUNTY, INC., D.B.A. PARKVIEW NOBLE HOSPITAL, WITH THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF ENABLING THIS COMMUNITY HOSPITAL TO PROVIDE THE "ABOVE AND BEYOND" CARE AND SERVICES THAT WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF PARKVIEW(SEE SCHEDULE O FOR CONTINUATION)NOBLE FOUNDATION DONORS.THE GIFTS RECEIVED IN 2021 BY PARKVIEW NOBLE FOUNDATION WERE DESIGNATED TO TEMPORARILY RESTRICTED OR UNRESTRICTED FUNDS, ACCORDING TO DONOR WISHES, AND WERE USED FOR A NUMBER OF MISSION-DRIVEN PURPOSES THAT TOUCHED THE LIVES OF PARKVIEW NOBLE HOSPITAL PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN NUMEROUS WAYS. THE UNIQUE CHALLENGES PRESENTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC REQUIRED A PRIORITY ON URGENT HOSPITAL NEEDS AND THE NEEDS OF FRONT-LINE TEAM MEMBERS. THE FOLLOWING ARE EXAMPLES OF PARKVIEW NOBLE FOUNDATION PROVIDING FUNDING TO PARKVIEW NOBLE HOSPITAL FOR VARIOUS HOSPITAL PROGRAMS, SERVICES, EQUIPMENT, AND IMPROVEMENTS:-THE FAMILY BIRTHING CENTER WAS PROVIDED SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT TO ASSIST FAMILIES GRIEVING THE LOSS OF THEIR NEWBORN. THE "CUDDLE COT" ALLOWS THE BABY TO STAY WITH THE PARENTS IN THE HOSPITAL BED WHILE THEIR BODY TEMPERATURE IS KEPT COOL. -THE CO-WORKER EMERGENCY FUND ASSISTED CO-WORKERS FACING EMERGENCIES SUCH AS HEALTH EMERGENCY, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OR OTHER LIFE CRISIS. THIS FUND PROVIDED PAYMENTS FOR RENT, UTILITIES AND TO ADDRESS FOOD INSECURITY. -SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS PROVIDED TEAM MEMBERS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AS THEY PURSUE THEIR NURSING/MEDICAL CAREER. -MEDICATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROVIDED PATIENTS WITH HELP PAYING FOR NEED PRESCRIPTIONS NECESSARY FOR DISCHARGE.-SMALL EQUIPMENT SUCH AS A BLANKET WARMER, WALKING LADDER AND MUSCLE TESTER WERE PROVIDED TO DEPARTMENTS AS PART OF THE MINIGRANT PROGRAM.-DIABETES EDUCATION SUPPLIES FOR PATIENTS. -FRONT LOBBY ENHANCEMENTS INCLUDING ADDING NEW FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS. -HOSPITAL WAITING ROOMS WERE EQUIPPED WITH NEW CHAIRS SINCE THE EXISTING CHAIRS HAD BECOME WORN DUE TO THE HIGH PATIENT CENSUS DURING PANDEMIC SURGES IN BOTH 2020 AND 2021. -FRONT-LINE WORKER SUPPORT IN THE MIDST OF THE PANDEMIC SURGE IN THE FALL OF 2021. T-SHIRTS WERE PROVIDED TO ALL TEAM MEMBERS WITH A THANK YOU FROM THE FOUNDATION BOARD THANKING THEM FOR KEEPING THEIR COMMUNITY SAFE AND PROVIDING EXCELLENT CARE DURING CHALLENGING TIMES.
