COMMUNITY-WIDE PLAN: THE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE NETWORK FACILITATES THE COMMUNITY WIDE PLAN, A THREE YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN, TO END DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN CENTRAL INDIANA. THROUGH THE PLAN, DVN WORKS WITH A MULTITUDE OF AGENCIES TO ADDRESS COLLABORATION TO ENSURE THAT VICTIMS ARE SAFE AND HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS.
ADVOCATES GROUP: DVN HOSTS MONTHLY TRAININGS FOCUSED ON BEST PRACTICES IN SERVICES, PREVENTION AND EDUCATION ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE FOR ADVOCATES. DVN ALSO MAINTAINS FACEBOOK AND TWITTER PAGES AND A NEWSLETTER TO ENSURE CONTINUED COMMUNICATION WITH THE COMMUNITY.
EDUCATION: DVN PROVIDES TRAININGS TO SCHOOLS, CHURCHES, HOSPITALS, EMPLOYERS AND OTHER COMMUNITY MEMBERS ON HOW TO RECOGNIZE AND RESPOND TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND TEEN DATING VIOLENCE.
PUBLIC AWARENESS: DVN DEVELOPS, PRODUCES AND DISTRIBUTES MORE THAN 30,000 BROCHURES, SAFETY CARDS, AND OTHER PRINTED MATERIALS FREE OF CHARGE TO BUSINESSES, SCHOOLS, CHURCHES, YOUTH CENTERS, AND HOSPITALS. DVN, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH COMMUNITY MEMBERS, LAUNCHED A PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN, NO MORE, A NATIONAL CAMPAIGN THAT DVN BROUGHT TO CENTRAL INDIANA. UNDER DVN'S LEADERSHIP, A FACEBOOK PAGE AND WEBSITE WERE CREATED.
