THE ORGANIZATION WORKS TO ENHANCE MEDICAL PROTOCOLS TO FURTHER IMPROVE THE WAY THE GAME OF FOOTBALL IS TAUGHT AND PLAYED. MEMBERS MEET ANNUALLY AT THE NFL SCOUTING COMBINE TO PRESENT THEIR NFL RELATED RESEARCH AND SHARE BEST PRACTICES FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING INJURIES AND IMPROVING PLAYER HEALTH. OUR 170 MEMBERS ARE LEADERS IN SPORTS MEDICINE, AND MANY ARE ACADEMICALLY AFFILIATED, CONTRIBUTORS TO THE LITERATURE REGARDING INJURIES IN ATHLETICS, ALSO WORK IN OTHER SPORTS LEAGUES, AND ARE INVOLVED IN THE EDUCATION OF FELLOWS AND RESIDENTS IN THEIR FIELDS.IN ADDITION FACILITATING COLLABORATION AMONG TEAM DOCTORS FROM ALL 32 NFL TEAMS, WE WORK CLOSELY WITH THE PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL ATHLETIC TRAINERS SOCIETY (PFATS), THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE (NFL), AND OTHER MEDICAL SOCIETIES TO GIVE OUR PATIENTS, THE NFL PLAYERS, THE BEST CARE POSSIBLE. TOGETHER WE ALL WORK TO DRIVE PROGRESS IN THE PREVENTION, DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF INJURIES, ENHANCE MEDICAL PROTOCOLS AND FURTHER IMPROVE THE WAY OUR GAME IS TAUGHT AND PLAYED.
