GREGORY HANCOCK DANCE THEATRE (GHDT) IS A PROFESSIONAL CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPANY DEDICATED TO THE EXPLORATION, CREATION, AND PRESENTATION OF THOUGHT-PROVOKING ISSUES THROUGH DANCE. WITH OUR ABILITY FOR ART TO TRANSCEND THE BARRIERS THAT DIVIDE OUR WORLD, WE STRIVE TO ENLIGHTEN, EDUCATE, ENTERTAIN AND ENGAGE DIVERSE AUDIENCES OF ALL AGES.

GREGORY HANCOCK DANCE THEATRE PRODUCES 6 DANCE CONCERTS PER YEAR AND PARTICIPATES IN COMMUNITY EVENTS USING 7-9 PROFESSIONAL DANCERS. APPROXIMATELY 32% OF THE AUDIENCE IS FREE OR DISCOUNTED ADMISSION TO COMMUNITY OUTREACH GROUPS, CIVIC LEADERS, SCHOOL AGE STUDENTS AND VETERANS/MILITARY FAMILIES. A SLOW RETURN TO THE THEATRE OCCURRED IN 2021 AS COVID RESTRICTIONS WERE LIFTED IN PUBLIC VENUES. ATTENDANCE FOR 2021 WAS 3359 PATRONS. THE COMPANY CONTINUES TO SERVE DIVERSE POPULATIONS FREE OF CHARGE AT PERFORMANCES FOR COMMUNITY AND CULTURAL EVENTS.
