THE JACKSON COUNTY FAIR IS ORGANIZED AS A SCIENTIFIC, EDUCATIONAL, AND CHARITABLE ENDEAVOR TO CULTIVATE, FOSTER AND PROMOTE INTEREST IN AGRICULTURE, HORTICULTURE, THE IMPROVEMENT OF SOIL AND STOCK RAISING, THE IMPROVEMENT OF BREEDING STOCK, AND THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF 4-H MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE IN SUCH PURSUITS AND ALL OTHER ACTIVITIES OF 4-H GENERALLY. THE JACKSON COUNTY FAIR IS TO HOLD ANNUALLY, IF POSSIBLE, AN AGRICULTURAL FAIR AND EXHIBITION OF 4-H ACHIEVEMENTS.

THE JACKSON COUNTY FAIR SPONSORS AN ANNUAL FAIR IN WHICH AGRICULTURE, HORTICULTURE AND LIVESTOCK EXHIBITS ARE FEATURED. THERE ARE MANY EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITS AND OTHER ATTRACTIONS FOR THE FAIR-GOERS TO VISIT DURING THE WEEK-LONG EVENT. THE FAIR DRAWS APPROXIMATELY 140,000 VISITORS FROM THE COUNTY AND SURROUNDING AREAS.
