THE MISSION OF THE PORTAGE TOWNSHIP YMCA IS TO PUT CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES INTO PRACTICE THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT BUILD HEALTHY MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT FOR ALL. WE STRENGTHEN THE PORTAGE COMMUNITY THROUGH PROGRAMS AT THE Y THAT NURTURE THE POTENTIAL OF CHILDREN AND TEENS AND IMPROVE HEALTH.

THE PORTAGE YMCA IS DIVERSE ORGANIZATION OF MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN JOINED TOGETHER BY A SHARED COMMITMENT TO STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY THROUGH YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, HEALTHY LIVING AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. WE BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER BY CONNECTING PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND BACKGROUNDS TO BRIDGE THE GAPS IN COMMUNITY NEEDS. OUR FOCUS IS ON THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY AND RESPONDING TO THESE NEEDS THROUGH PROGRAMS AND SERVICES. IMPACT IS FELT WHEN AN INDIVIDUAL MAKES A HEALTHY CHOICE, WHEN A MENTOR INSPIRES A CHILD OR WHEN A COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER FOR THE COMMON GOOD.
