THE PURPOSE OF THE CLUB IS TO PROVIDE BEHAVIOR GUIDANCE AND TO PROMOTE THE HEALTH, SOCIAL, EDUCATIONAL AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT OF THE BOYS AND GIRLS. IT IS TO RECEIVE, INVEST, DISBURSE FUNDS AND TO HOLD PROPERTY FOR THE EXEMPT PURPOSE.

THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS OF BLOOMINGTON (BGCB) PROVIDE A SAFE PLACE TO LEARN AND GROW THROUGH LIFE-ENHANCING PROGRAMS AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCES TO OVER 1,300 YOUTH ANNUALLY. OUR ORGANIZATION IS PART OF A NATIONWIDE AFFILIATION, BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF AMERICA, WORKING TO HELP YOUTH OF ALL BACKGROUNDS DEVELOP THE QUALITIES NEEDED TO BECOME RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS AND LEADERS. IT IS FACILITY-BASED AND OFFERS DAILY ACCESS TO A BROAD RANGE OF PROGRAMS IN FIVE CORE PROGRAM AREAS: EDUCATION & CAREER DEVELOPMENT, CHARACTER & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, THE ARTS, HEALTH & LIFE SKILLS AND SPORTS, FITNESS & RECREATION.
