THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF SOUTHWEST MISSOURI SEEKS TO IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS GAPS IN SERVICES TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI. PROGRAMMING INCLUDES CHILD AND TEEN SAFETY, SUBSTANCE

BASKETBALL AND CONCESSION STAND ACTIVITIES: STRUCTURED SPORTS PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN OF ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED FAMILIES.


LUNCH AND SNACK - PROVIDES MEALS TO DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN. DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS THE PROGRAM IS A REPLACEMENT FOR THE NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM.


PROGRAMMING INCLUDES CHILD AND TEEN SAFETY, SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION, CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION, AND HEALTH. THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF SOUTHWEST MISSOURI IS A CHARITABLE COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANIZATION THAT INCLUDES CHILDREN AGES 6-18 REGARDLESS OF ABILITIES, INCOMES, RACES, AND RELIGIONS. WE ARE DEDICATED TO BUILDING STRONG KIDS, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITIES BY PROMOTING HEALTHY LIFESTYLES, STRONG VALUES, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY INTERACTION, AND INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING. ALL YOUTH ARE WELCOME AT THE BGCSWMO, REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY. OUR CLUB IS LED BY VOLUNTEERS FROM OUR COMMUNITY. VOLUNTEERS ALSO SERVE AS MENTORS, COACHES, PROGRAM LEADERS, INSTRUCTORS, AND MUCH MORE. THE MISSION OF BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF JOPLIN IS TO ENABLE ALL YOUNG PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO NEED US MOST, TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS CARING, RESPONSIBLE AND PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS. EVERY YEAR THE CLUB DELIVERS AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS TO MORE THAN 300 AT-RISK YOUTH IN THE SOUTHWEST MISSOURI AREA.
