IN 2022 SUPPORT CONTINUED TO MISSION POINT RESOURCE CENTER IN CATACAMAS, OLANCHO. PROVIDING TRAINING IN ETHICS, TEACHER TRAINING, COMPUTER PROFICIENCY, AND CHURCH LEADERSHIP TO FAMILIES IN APPROXIMATELY 63 CONGREGATION IN EASTERN HONDURAS. APPROXIMATELY 4 TEACHER GROUPS HAVE BEEN TRAINED AND 10 STUDENTS RECEIVED A 13-WEEK COMPUTER LITERACY COURSE. ALSO DURING 2022 WE CONTINUED SUPPORT TO AN OUTREACH MINISTRY IN AUTAUGAVILLE, ALABAMA, A COMMUNITY WITH MANY AT RISK CHILDREN. IN HONDURAS, WE CONTINUED A BECA PROGRAM, WHICH PROVIDES STIPENDS TO 19 CHILDREN ALLOWING THEM TO CONTINUE IN PUBLIC SCHOOL. WE ALSO HAVE FEEDING PROGRAMS IN FOUR COMMUNITIES - TEGUCIGALPA, LAMANSION, TRUJILLO AND JUTIQUILE. THROUGH THESE PROGRAMS APPROXIMATELY 130 YOUNGSTERS AND A SMALL NUMBER OF OLDER PEOPLE ARE PROVIDED TWO MEALS PER WEEK. IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID QUARANTINE, WE REDIRECTED THE RESOURCE CENTER BUDGET TO PROVIDING FOOD BASKETS FOR FAMILIES IN NEED. THESE REDIRECTED FUNDS WERE SUPPLEMENTED BY OTHER GIVING WITH THE RESULT THAT THIRTY FAMILIES WERE ASSISTED MULTIPLE TIME WITH FOOD BASKETS. IN ALL MORE THAN 350 FOOD BASKETS WERE DISTRIBUTED. FUNDS WERE ALSO SENT TO GUATEMALA TO HELP WITH FOOD SHORTAGES IN EL ESTOR ISABEL. TWO MINISTERS, MARIO ALFARO, AND MARLON MOLINA HAVE BEEN SUPPORTED FULL TIME. THESE TWO MEN SERVE LOCAL CHURCHES BUT ALSO TRAVEL THROUGHOUT OLANCHO AND COLON TO DELIVER CLASSES ON LEADERSHIP TRAINING - A PROGRAM CALLED PROFORLE OR PROGRAM FOR THE FORMATION OF LEADERS. REPAIRS AND UPGRADES IN THE AMOUNT OF $7500 WERE MADE TO THE RESOURCE CENTER FACILITY WHICH IS RENTED FROM THE GOOD SAMARITAN SCHOOL, A SISTER MINISTRY IN CATACAMAS.
