WOMEN IN CHURCH LEADERSHIP: ANNUAL CELEBRATIONS WHICH HONOR WOMEN BOTH WELL KNOWN AND LITTLE KNOWN IN CHURCH HISTORY ARE HELD THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. LITERATURE AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITES THAT EDUCATE ABOUT JESUS' INCLUSIVE PRACTICE ARE ALSO PUBLISHED. CONFERENCES AND MEDIA COVERAGE OF THE MISSION OF FUTURECHURCH ARE ALSO PROMOTED. AN INTERNATIONAL INITIATIVE TO ADVOCATE FOR THE RESTORATION OF THE FEMALE DEACONATE IN THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IS ALSO UNDERWAY. CATHOLIC WOMEN PREACH: WEEKLY VIDEOS AND TEXTS OF PREACHING FROM CATHOLIC WOMEN ARE COORDINATED, EDITED, PUBLISHED AND MAINTAINED ON PROGRAM WEBSITE WWW.CATHOLICWOMENPREACH.ORG.
FUTURE OF PRIESTLY MINISTRY: EDUCATES ABOUT THE PRIEST SHORTAGE AND ADVOCATES FOR OPTIONAL CELIBACY IN THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. IN 2012 IMPLEMENTED AN ONLINE "OPEN LETTER FROM THE PEOPLE OF GOD TO U.S. BISHOPS" ASKING FOR OPEN DISCUSSION OF MANDATORY CELIBACY AND WOMEN DEACONS. ELECTRONIC POSTCARDS ABOUT BOTH OF THESE ISSUES WERE TRANSLATED INTO FIVE OTHER LANGUAGES AND MADE AVAILABLE ON THE ORGANIZATION'S WEBSITE.
SAVE OUR PARISH COMMUNITY: PROVIDES CANONICAL APPEAL AND PRAYER RESOURCES TO CATHOLICS DECIDING WHAT TO DO WHEN THEIR VIBRANT AND SOLVENT PARISH IS SLATED FOR CLOSURE FOR NO APPARENT REASON. IN 2012 PARISHONERS FROM A TOTAL OF 13 CHURCHES - ALLENTOWN (9). SPRINGFIELD (3) AND BUFFALO (1) WERE FOR THE FIRST TIME SUCCESSFUL IN THER APPEALS TO THE VATICAN. PARISHONERS IN ALL THREE DIOCESES HAD UTILIZED THE ORGANIZATION'S RESOURCES.
JUSTICE IN THE CHURCH: FUTURECHURCH PROMOTES THE RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ALL THE BAPTIZED IN THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. WE WORK FOR JUST TREATMENT FOR ALL CHURCH WORKERS, EDUCATORS, THEOLOGIANS, MINISTERS AND ALL THOSE WHO DEDICATE SO MUCH OF THEIR LIVES TO MAKING THE GOSPEL A REALITY IN OUR WORLD.
