OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE THE WISE MANAGEMENT AND USE OF THE OTTAWA RIVER AND ITS WATERSHED AS A VALUABLE COMMUNITY RESOURCE. THE COALITION IS ENGAGED IN A WIDE VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES, ALL AIMED AT UNDERSTANDING AND PROTECTING WATER QUALITY IN THE 372 SQUARE MILE WATERSHED.

CODE 351 1) THE COALITION'S MEMBERS BELIEVE THE ORGANIZATION'S MOST EFFECTIVE ROLE OR FUNCTION IS TO BE A FORUM FOR STAKEHOLDERS. TO THAT END, WE CONDUCTED 1 ANNUAL MEETING, 5 REGULAR MEETINGS, AND 6 COMMITTEE MEETINGS. 2) 100 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE ANNUAL OTTAWA RIVER CLEANUP EVENT. 3) THE FUNDING THE ORGANIZATION PAYS OUT TO THE ALLEN SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT FOR ASSISTANCE IS EXTREMELY CRITICAL TO MOST ACCOMPLISHMENTS. 4) COMMUNITY OUTREACH/EDUCATION PROGRAMS INVOLVING OVER 3000 PEOPLE OF ALL AGES IN 2023. 5) THE ORGANIZATION'S WEBSITE IS A KEY COMMUNITY OUTREACH TOOL, REACHING OVER 1000 UNIQUE USERS THIS YEAR AND MAKING OVER 30,000 IMPRESSIONS. 6) THE ORGANIZATION AWARDED 3 COLLEGE STUDENTS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2023. THESE FUNDS ARE KEPT IN A CHAMBER OF COMMERCE COMMUNITY FUND ACCOUNT.
