DOLLARS ALLOCATED ARE USED TO PROMOTE MEDINA COUNTY TO POTENTIAL VISITORS, CURRENT VISITORS AND LOCAL RESIDENTS. THE MAJORITY OF EXPENSES ARE USED TO DISTRIBUTE PUBLICATIONS SUCH AS THE MEDINA COUNTY VISITORS GUIDE. DISTRIBUTION IS MADE IN A VARIETY OF WAYS INCLUDING OUTSIDE SERVICES, TRAVEL SHOWS AND CONVENTIONS IN OHIO AND SURROUNDING STATES. LOCAL DISTRIBUTION IN OHIO IS ACCOMPLISHED BY VISITING BUSINESSES REGIONALLY AND LOCALLY. THE REMAINING DOLLARS ARE USED TO ADVERTISE AND PROMOTE LOCAL AND REGIONAL EVENT AND MEMBER BUSINESSES..

LOCALLY THE BUREAU BELONGS TO VARIOUS LOCAL, REGIONAL, AND STATE ORGANIZATIONS. THESE CONFERENCES HELP PROMOTE MEDINA COUNTY TO OTHER REGIONS. IT IS A MAJOR TOOL IN TRAINING OUR STAFF TO KEEP ABREAST OF THE INDUSTRY. IT ALSO OFFERS A MEDIUM TO EXCHANGE IDEAS WITH OTHERS IN OUR PROFESSION AND KEEP UP WITH LEGAL ISSUES THAT AFFECT OUR INDUSTRY. THE MAIN GOAL IS TO PROMOTE MEDINA COUNTY AS A TOURIST ATTRACTION. THE DOLLARS SPENT BY VISITORS EVENTUALLY INCREASE THE TAX BASE, PROMOTING JOBS AND MEDINA COUNTY AS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE AND WORK.
