THE ORGANIZATION'S ONLY PROGRAM SERVICES ARE FIREFIGHTING AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES. THE ORGANIZATION COVERS A 32 SQUARE MILE RESPONSE AREA, SERVING A POPULATION OF APPROXIMATELY 13,000 RESIDENTS. APPARATUS CONSISTS OF TWO PUMPERS, A LADDER TRUCK, A HEAVY RESCUE, 3 ALS EQUIPPED EMS SQUADS, A COMMAND/FIRE PREVENTION VEHICLE, TWO MULTI-PURPOSE UTILITY VEHICLES AND AN ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE. FOUR PERSONNEL STAFF THE STATION 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK. IN ADDITION, THE FIRE CHIEF AND FIRE MARSHALL ARE AT THE STATION ON 8 HOUR SHIFTS MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. THE DEPARTMENT CURRENTLY HAS 6 FULL-TIME PERSONNEL, AND OTHER MEMBERS ONDUTY WORK 12 HOUR SHIFTS ON A PART-TIME BASIS. THE DEPARTMENT HAS A TOTAL OF 52 OFFICERS, FIREFIGHTERS, PARAMEDICS, AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS. THE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO MORE THAN 1,600 FIRE AND EMS CALLS PER FISCAL YEAR.
