SERVING AS A COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER, MISSION EMPOWER PROVIDES ADVOCACY, EDUCATION AND THE PROMOTION OF INCLUSION, ASSISTING FAMILIES AND THEIR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES TO ENABLE THEIR CHILDREN TO USE THEIR GIFTS AND TALENTS TO REACH THEIR POTENTIAL AND BECOME PRODUCTIVE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.

MISSION EMPOWER (ME) CONTINUED ITS BASE PROGRAM OF THE FEDERALLY FUNDED COMMUNITY PARENT RESOURCE CENTER (CPRC) TO SERVE FAMILIES WHO HAVE CHILDREN AND YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE SPECIAL EDUCATION SYSTEM AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES. THE PROGRAM SUPPORTS FAMILIES TO BE THEIR CHILDREN'S BEST ADVOCATE. THE PROGRAM SERVED MORE THAN 200 INDIVIDUALS INCLUDING PARENTS, SCHOOL PROFESSIONALS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS THROUGH INFORMATION AND REFERRAL, IN-PERSON AND WEB BASED TRAINING TRAINING AND DIRECT EDUCATIONAL ADVOCACY.


MISSION EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM SERVES YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES BY PROVIDING THEM WITH JOB SHADOWING AND PAID INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES.


MISSION EMPOWER (ME)CONTINUED ITS YOUTH ENVISION PROGRAM WHICH AIMS TO EMPOWER YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS TO SUCCESSFULLY GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL AND LAUNCH INTO AN INDEPENDENT LIFE. THE PROGRAM SERVES YOUTH THROUGH TRAINING, ONE ON ONE SUPPORT, VOLUNTEER OPPOUTUNITIES, AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES.


MISSION READ IS A VOLUNTEER PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES TUTORING SERVICES TO CHILDREN WITH DYSLEXIA.
