IN 2023 LOVE INC OF LINN COUNTY RECEIVED 5,779 CALLS FOR HELP FROM OUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED. IN RESPONSE WE WERE ABLE TO MOBILIZE 224 VOLUNTEERS FROM 26 AREA CHURCHES WHO DONATED 4,518 HOURS OF SERVICE. THEY PREPARED DURABLE MEDICAL GOODS, GENTLY USED CLOTHING AND LINENS TO BE GIVEN AWAY. THEY HELPED WITH MOVES, GAVE RIDES TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS, AND DID MINOR HOME AND AUTO REPAIR. VOLUNTEERS DELIVERED OVER 1,100 PIECES OF DURABLE MEDICAL GOODS SUCH AS HOSPITAL BEDS, WHEEL CHAIRS, COMMODES AND OTHER ITEMS AS WELL AS BABY SUPPLIES, APPLIANCES, FURNITURE AND FOOD. FAMILIES VISITED OUR SELF CARE CLOSET RECEIVING 1,721 FULL SIZE CLEANING AND PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS. IN AUGUST OVER 500 STUDENTS RECEIVED BACKPACKS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, CLOTHING AND SHOES. HUNDREDS OF WINTER COATS FOR MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN WERE GIVEN IN OCTOBER. IN DECEMBER OVER 1,000 CHILDREN RECEIVED CHRISTMAS GIFTS THROUGH THE EFFORTS OF THESE AMAZING CHURCHES AND VOLUNTEERS!
