Part 3

TILLER WATERSHED RESTORATION PROJECT. A MULTI-YEAR PROJECT INCLUDING PROJECTS IN THE ELK CREEK WATERSHED AS WELL AS UPPER SOUTH UMPQUA RIVER TRIBUTARIES. THIS IS A COLLABORATION BETWEEN US FOREST SERVICE, OREGON DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE, OREGON WATERSHED ENHANCEMENT BOARD, SOUTH UMPQUA RURAL COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP, AND POSSIBLY OTHERS AS TIME GOES ON. THIS YEAR THE FOCUS WAS RESTORING HABITAT WITH INSTREAM WORK, REPLACING CULVERTS, DECOMMISSIONING AND REHABILITATING ROADS NEAR SENSITIVE HABITAT, AND RESTORING WETLANDS CRITICAL TO AQUATIC WILDLIFE.
