THE AGUA CALIENTE MUSEUM INSPIRES PEOPLE TO LEARN ABOUT THE AGUA CALIENTE BAND OF CAHUILLA INDIANS AND OTHER NATIVE CULTURES BY KEEPING THE SPIRIT ALIVE THROUGH EXHIBITIONS, COLLECTIONS, RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS.

THE MUSEUM OFFERS AN ARRAY OF EXHIBITIONS, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, AND CULTURAL FESTIVALS TO INTERPRET THE NATIVE HISTORY OF THE COACHELLA VALLEY FOR NATIVE AND NON-NATIVE PERMANENT RESIDENTS AND VISITORS. EXHIBITIONS AND OTHER PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED AT THE MUSEUM AS WELL AS OFF-SITE LOCATIONS THAT INCLUDE PUBLIC SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES, AND PUBLIC LIBRARIES. THE COLLECTION AND ARCHIVING OF IMPORTANT HOLDINGS HAS BEEN DILIGENT. THE MUSEUM LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES ARE AVAILABLE BY APPOINTMENT FOR SCHOLARLY RESEARCH. MORE THAN 28,000 ADULTS AND CHILDREN PARTICIPATE IN MUSEUM PROGRAMS EACH YEAR. ON FEBRUARY 7, 2018, ACCM CEASED OPERATIONS AND TRANSFERED ALL MUSEUM ASSETS AND ATTRIBUTABLE LIABILITIES TO THE AGUA CALIENTE BAND OF CAHUILLA INDIANS TRIBE.
