THE MERAQUAS OF IRVINE FUNDS A SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING TEAM FROM ORANGE COUNTY. SWIMMERS ARE PROVIDED DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION THROUGH THIS PHYSICAL FITNESS PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM INVOLVES TRAVELING AND COMPETING IN LOCAL AND NATIONAL COMPETITIONS. GEAR, COACH FEES, AND TRAVEL EXPENSES ARE INCURRED. MEMBERSHIP DUES AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS ARE USED TO FUND THESE EXPENSES.
