AS DISCLOSED ABOVE, THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO CREATE THE KIEWIT LUMINARIUM, A STATE OF THE ART SCIENCE CENTER IN DOWNTOWN OMAHA, NEBRASKA. THE LUMINARIUM IS PRIVATELY FUNDED, WITH THE MAJORITY OF THE FUNDS EXPENDED ON DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE FACILITY WHICH IS REFLECTED ON THE BALANCE SHEET AS CONSTRUCTION IN PROCESS. IN ADDITION TO DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION, THE ORGANIZATION INCURS CERTAIN EXPENSES IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THIS PROJECT INCLUDING OPERATIONAL CONSULTING FEES TO THE EXPLORATORIUM MUSEUM IN SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT FEES TO HERITAGE SERVICES, A 501C3 ORGANIZATION WHICH PROVIDES FUNDRAISING AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO OTHER NONPROFIT ENTITIES. IN ADDITION, CERTAIN EXECUTIVE SEARCH FEES WERE INCURRED RELATING TO THE SEARCH FOR THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE ORGANIZATION AND CERTAIN START-UP OPERATING EXPENSES WERE INCURRED INCLUDING SALARIES AND BENEFITS FOR KEY PERSONNEL.
