SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GRADUATES OF NORTH CHICAGO COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL. THE ORGANIZATION RAISES FUNDS TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS THAT ALLOW NORTH CHICAGO HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES TO ATTEND THE COLLEGE OF LAKE COUNTY FOR TWO YEARS AT NO COST. WE COVER THE TUITION COSTS NOT COVERED BY OTHER GRANTS, REIMBURSE STUDENTS FOR THE COST OF BOOKS, AND PROVIDE A STIPEND FOR LIVING EXPENSES. THE REVENUE RAISED DURING THE 2021-22 FISCAL YEAR ALLOWED THE ORGANIZATION TO AWARD 16 SCHOLARSHIPS TO 2022 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES. EXPENSES FOR THOSE STUDENTS WILL BE PAID IN FUTURE YEARS. EXPENSES IN THE 2021-22 FISCAL YEAR WERE FOR STUDENTS WHO RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2020 AND 2021.
EMERGENCY FUND. THE ORGANIZATION HAS RAISED FUNDS TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES FOR NORTH CHICAGO CUSD 187 STUDENTS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING A FINANCIAL CRISIS DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. GRANTS PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO FIFTEEN FAMILIES IN NEED.
GRANTS TO NORTH CHICAGO COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT 187. THE ORGANIZATION HAS RAISED FUNDS TO COVER THE COST OF NEW PROGRAMS FOR THE SCHOOL DISTRICT THAT SERVE THE STUDENTS OF NORTH CHICAGO. FUNDS RAISED DURING THE 2021-22 FISCAL YEAR WILL BE USED TO SUPPORT HOME-BASED CHILDCARE PROGRAMS IN NORTH CHICAGO SO THAT CHILDREN ARE READY FOR KINDERGARTEN WHEN THEY ARE AGE 5.
