THE CORPORATION, IN COMMITMENT TO THE GOSPEL AND IN SERVICE TO THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE, EXISTS TO ADVANCE THE MISSION AND VALUES OF MERCY HEALTH BY CREATING BENEFIT PLANS THAT LINK COMMUNITIES TO A HIGH QUALITY, PREFERRED HEALTH CARE NETWORK; BY ACCEPTING RISK, RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THE HEALTH STATUS, TREATMENT OUTCOMES AND COST EFFECTIVENESS OF CARE; BY TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONTRIBUTING TO THE LARGER COMMUNITY'S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING; AND BY OPERATING IN A MANNER THAT STEWARDS NEEDED RESOURCES, DEMONSTRATES VALUE AND TREATS ALL INDIVIDUALS WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT.
