THE CITY HALL PEACEFUL GARDEN SOCIETYS PRIMARY MISSION IS TO PROVIDE A VITAL SERVICE TO THE NEW YORK CHINESE COMMUNITY BY MAKING BURIAL PLOTS AVAILABLE TO THOSE WHO CANNOT OBTAIN THEM THROUGH THE CHINESE COMMUNITY AND FAMILY ASSOCIATIONS.THE SOCIETY WILL ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN A GARDEN CEMETERY WHICH SHALL NOT ONLY HONOR THE DEAD, BUT ALSO SHALL BRING HEALING AND HOPE TO THE LIVING THROUGH ITS BEAUTY. IT SHALL EXPRESS REVERENCE AND GRATITUDE FOR THOSE BURIED THERE; AND ALL WHO VISIT WILL KNOW THAT THE DEPARTED WERE BURIED WITH DIGNITY, HONOR AND AFFECTION.
