THE MISSION STATEMENT OF THE FIRST TEE OF GREATER TYLER IS TO IMPACT THE LIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS THAT BUILD CHARACTER, INSTILL LIFE-ENHANCING VALUES, AND PROMOTE HEALTHY CHOICES THROUGH THE GAME OF GOLF. FOR 2021, THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH A SERIES OF 7-WEEK PROGRAMS. THE SPRING PROGRAM WAS ATTENDED BY 171 PARTICIPANTS; THE SUMMER PROGRAM WAS ATTENDED BY 196 PARTICIPANTS; THE FALL PROGRAM WAS ATTENDED BY 195 PARTICIPANTS; AND THE WINTER PROGRAM WAS ATTENDED BY 36 PARTICIPANTS. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION WAS INVOLVED IN YOUTH-SERVING (FORMERLY THE NATIONAL SCHOOL PROGRAM) IN WHICH 3 ELEMENTARY PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS FROM THE BULLARD, LINDALE, AND WHITEHOUSE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND 1,401 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED.
